After successful completion of all American Heart Association Heartsaver and BLS courses, you will receive a 2 year course completion card.

Heartsaver - First Aid, CPR AED or Combined
Heartsaver First Aid, Heartsaver CPR AED, and Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED courses are designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and automated external defibrillator (AED) until someone with more medical training comes to take over. Heartsaver courses are designed to be flexible and customizable with optional modules, and are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card.. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
After successfully completing the Heartsaver First Aid Course, students should be able to:

list the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of the rescuer
-
describe the assessment of and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions: heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke
-
use an epinephrine pen
-
control bleeding
-
recognize elements of common injuries and illnesses
After successfully completing the Heartsaver CPR AED Course or the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course, students should be able to:​

explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival
-
describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
-
recognize when someone needs CPR
-
perform high-quality CPR for an adult alone or as a team member during multi-rescuer CPR (child and infant CPR modules are optional)
-
give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a barrier device for all age groups
-
demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult (child and infant AED modules are optional)
-
describe when and how to help a choking adult or child (infant choking module is optional).

Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card that is valid for two years.

American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED
The course is intended for those involved in child care who have a duty to respond to children's health emergencies, including child-care workers, teachers, foster-care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children's sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and guardians.
​After successfully completing this course, students should be able to:​

describe the four key steps in first aid for children and infants: prevent, protect, assess, and act
-
remove protective gloves
-
control bleeding and bandaging
-
use an epinephrine pen
-
recognize elements of common injuries and illnesses
-
recognize when someone needs CPR, and perform high-quality CPR for an infant, child, or adult (adult CPR module is optional)
-
give effective breaths by using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
-
demonstrate how to use an AED on a child or an adult (adult AED module is optional)
-
describe when and how to help a choking infant, child, or adult.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) course is intended for all Healthcare Providers with clinical responsibilities including dentists, nurses, hygienists, pharmacists, physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, physician’s assistants, residents or fellows and medical or nursing students in training.
The BLS course is to prepare healthcare professionals to perform CPR both in-and out-of-hospital settings. This course trains participants to promptly recognize cardiac arrest with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics for Infant/Child/Adult, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
AHA Friends and Family
The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of Adult, Child and Infant CPR, AED and Choking . This course is ideal for parents, grandparents, babysitters and anyone else who does not need a course completion card.
